For more than a quarter of a century Matt Smith has been painting the landscape of the southwest and has received prestigious recognition for his work, including the Robert Lougheed Award at the Prix de West Show, the Red Smith Award from the National Museum of Wildlife Art and both Best of Show and Artistic Merit awards at the Western Rendezvous of Art. In return for all the guidance given him in earlier years by contemporary landscape masters, he devotes time for workshops and seminars.
